Make & Take Night – August 11, 2015

Kitty Yates will show us how to make a “Non-Slip Sewing Machine Foot Pedal Pad.” Here is what you need to bring:

1 – sewing machine fitted with a 14-16 needle and thread to match your project.

2 – rotary cutter, mat and ruler

3 – one fat quarter (18″x22″)

4 – one piece of batting, approximately 16″x16″

5 – one hand sewing needle

(Kitty will bring whatever else we need.)

Homework – before coming to the meeting, measure your sewing machine foot (mine measured 4″x6.5″); they are all different. Add 3″ to your measurement (mine will be 7″x9.5″). Make sure you have this number when you come to the meeting — this will be a fun and quick project and should keep your sewing machine foot from walking away from your foot when sewing.
