Friday, March 1, 2019 was the day for Blue Ridge Quilters to decorate the Library Display Case in celebration of National Quilting Month. And what a pleasure that always is. Those who participated were a motley crew, I mean a very talented and lovely group including Loretta Twiford, Tina Dietz, Julie Shelton, and Vickie Anway.

Among the items included in the case are Guild projects such as Fidget Quilts, Scent Babies, Ryan’s Smiles pillow case. Also there is a sample of April’s upcoming make-it-and-take-it project of a Spring Flower For Your Table. There are barn quilts, an old hand quilted quilt, several table runners, books, magazines, stuffed toys, miniature sewing machines, quilting equipment such as rotary cutter, cutting mat, rulers, thread, pin cushion, scissors, etc. There are also small quilted items, a bag with a quilting logo, many and varied quilt blocks and all manner of interesting items pertaining to quilting.
If you have items for the display case, I am sure room can be found if you just bring your item/s to the next regular meeting on March 12th. Be sure to affix your name to your item/s (return address labels work nicely).
The March program will feature Cathy Henderson demonstrating how to quilt our quilts using Stephanie Farrow’s templates and special sewing machine foot. Be sure to be there !
