It was the first meeting of a new year, and it was a very good meeting. There was a lot of discussion about important matters, there was contributions of more Ryan’s Case for Smiles pillow cases as well as Scent Babies for the Carilion Hospital NICU. And Show and Tell was well attended, too. Some of the pics are a bit out of order, but please try to forgive me just this one time !! LOL LOL

After all of the business and sharing and showing, there were snacks made available by the Hospitality Committee, and they were well taken advantage of, too ! Thank you Barbara F and Carolyn L for all the yummies. Another incentive to look forward to future meetings !

One of the most exciting announcements (not that they were not all exciting) of the evening was that the Blue Ridge Quilters now have a FaceBook page, Blue Ridge Quilters, thanks to the diligent work of Carolyn Loop. On that page you will find information about the upcoming National Quilting Day event we are sponsoring on March 5, 2022 at Colonial Baptist Church in Blue Ridge, VA and you can download and print the Pre-Registration form.

We are looking forward to tomorrow when we will be working on the Donation Quilt for the National Quilting Day event. It is always exciting to work with other quilters and watch a project come to fruition. Many hands, and all that. I have been advised not to go Indy up the driveway due to some slick spots. See ya in the morning with your sewing stuff and your lunch!

Our February meeting will be in the same location, but the March meeting location will be announced later. Til then, stay safe, stay warm and stay in stitches!!
