The meeting was a Make & Take Night with a Rag Basket project presented and instructed by Ruth Ann Assaid. There were 9 sewists and a lot of enthusiasm present !! Thank you, Ruth Ann for bringing this project. Our Treasurer, Louise Jargowsky was the first (and I think only) one to complete her project; she did a small basket of 30’s prints which turned out very pretty. Claire Hightower also finished covering her clothesline for a small basket. (Pictures nearby)

Also, there were quite a few participants in Show & Tell, including some from the 2-part Barn Quilt Class held in June.

Kathy Wickham extended to Blue Ridge Quilters members an invitation to participate in a Quilt Retreat held by Star Quilters. The retreat will be held Saturday, September 20th, 8:00 AM to
Sunday, September 21, 1:00 PM at Camp Alta Mons, Shawsville, VA. Overnight $75.00 (double occupancy). Includes lunch, dinner, breakfast and class. Single occupancy may be available for a higher fee. Class on Quilt-As-You-Go Lap Quilt.
