Tuesday night there was quite a gathering of members, visitors and new-old members as well as folks we just haven’t seen for a while; it was a very busy night. There were announcements about the Board meeting just prior to the regular meeting, there were reminders of some of our regular charity works, such as Scent Babies for the NICU, there was mention of May’s program making Fidget Quilts for Woodhaven Nursing Home as well as a display table showing some suitable things for Fidget Quilts. And, after all that there was an information packed program by Tina Dietz on “Applicable Tips for Hand Applique” and we were treated to a kit to give hand applique a try. After the program there was Show and Tell and a little introduction to One Block Wonder for those unfamiliar with the process. A little later this year we will have a class for those interested in making a OBW, preceded by a field trip to Quilting Essentials to, among other things, look for OBW fabric.
