Welcome new members and visitors
Visitors and new members are always welcome.

Upcoming programs

March – Bring in a favorite sewing/quilting tool, book or pattern, and share how you use it and why you love it. You might want to take notes, too, so be sure to have pencil and paper to jot down information on someone else’s favorite.

Also, bring in any Falling Triangle blocks you have been able to make toward our Community Quilt Project. This project will be ongoing for several months.

Summer – Silent Auction

Date to be determined – Field Trip !!

Ongoing:
Our Round Robin is underway ! We showed our blocks and made an exchange so that everyone who brought a block left with someone else’s block, to which to apply a border. This will happen two more times, so that when we are done, those participating will unveil their original block with three new borders applied by three different quilters ! What fun ! Be sure to bring back your Round Robin block this month so we can again exchange and get a new one on which to apply a border. If you are unable to attend, please send it with someone else.

Also, there is a daytime handwork Bee at Carolyn Zaleski’s on the first Wednesday each month and newcomers are always welcome. Bring your handwork (it could be knitting, crocheting, tatting, applique, whatever) and your lunch and Carolyn provides dessert which is always something yummy. See Carolyn Zaleski for directions and further details and mark your calendar !

In honor of National Quilting Month, several Guild members got together on Monday, February 29th, to decorate the Blue Ridge Library Display Case. Be sure to check it out !

In Closing:
We are still in need of an Historian (someone to take photos of Show & Share as well as meetings where we have a guest speaker). Digital photos will then be emailed to Loretta Twiford who will include them on the website. Talk about an easy way to serve the Guild !

Be sure to check the website, http://www.blueridgequilters.wordpress.com, for pictures and a recap of recent meetings and Show and Tell. If you click on the little blue box in the lower right corner and fill in your email address, you will receive an email any time the site is updated so it will be easier to keep up to date with what is going on if you are unable to attend meetings or when you are away.

Friendship inspires and enriches the lives of those who come together. Vimala Thakar

IN CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER:
In accordance with our By-Laws: In case of inclement weather we will follow the closing schedule of Botetourt County Schools. Missed meetings will not be rescheduled.
